He gets kind of sad...

..when he finds mail in the mailbox and on asking if its for him I reply a "no". Ever since he got a birthday card in the mail, he asks me every time if there is a mail for him. It breaks my heart to see him getting so sad.

I remember how excited we used to be when we would come to know that there is a mail especially for us. And in this e-world today, he sure is going to miss out on that fun.

Do you think I should start mailing him stuff just to keep him happy? Some cards, some drawings that he can color up, just tidbits to make him happy and excited?

I think I will try doing that and see his reaction :)

  2. Awww. Come on indulge the lil fella. Send him ILU's in snail mail. While at it, make him send snail mail of his drawings to his grand parents. Grandparents will also be happy.

  3. aww.. So cute. You could just put stuff in the mail box for him to pick up.
I was gonna say the same thing.. I send D's hand written note, CD's with some audio/video to my parents once in a while and they get so excited. And grand parents might send something back too. Both happy :)

  5. You know I did this in hostel for a friend. She used to be sad as one friend of mine used to write me letters. So I wrote a long letter for him and posted it. She was sooo happy to see that :) You need not post. You can just paste the envelope , with adress and all and keep it in mail box without his knowledge :)

  6. Yes, snail mail is good too. And I'm sure his grandparents would be happy to do it too. And make him send a mail for his grandparents. That is a wonderful idea from utbtkids and ddmom.

  8. Subscription to a kid's magazine is actually great. Ofcourse you can write him letters too (you can ask him to do some task in each letter). Have fun!
